Кроме того, каждое третье преступление было совершено в состоянии алкогольного опьянения, при этом их количество за год сократилось на семь процентов, отметили в ведомстве.

Подавляющее большинство преступлений числится за мужчинами, гражданами России. На женщин приходится каждое шестое преступление, на иностранцев — менее четырех процентов. Всего за полгода в стране выявили 16 тысяч иностранных граждан, совершивших преступления, 80 процентов из них являются выходцами из стран СНГ.

По информации МВД, среди несовершеннолетних и студентов преступность сократилась на 15 процентов и 12 процентов соответственно. Всего за шесть месяцев в России задержали более 13,7 тысячи несовершеннолетних злоумышленников и свыше 15,8 тысячи учащихся и студентов.

Ранее стало известно, что в России 11 осужденных на смертную казнь выйдут из тюрем в этом и в следующем годах, благодаря введенному в 1997 году мораторию, согласно которому смертный приговор заменили на срок лишения свободы до 25 лет. Всего в колониях особого режима в настоящее время находятся 538 осужденных, которым заменили смертный приговор на пожизненное лишение свободы.
